Why do we say this, and what does it mean?
Well, we say this as a passionate collective of early childhood practitioners dedicated to shaping the future of quality education and care. With years of experience across a range of contexts our team of sector experts are committed to providing training with a difference.
We can do this because we only seek to do one thing, and we aim to do that one thing well.
We’re Early Childhood Education and Care specialists.
Our mission is to make a difference, by making it different. We do this by only offering accredited training, professional development and customised learning programs that have been built and designed by educators, delivered for educators.
To get a feel for what we’re all about, we wish to share what drew us all together. We were guided by a very simple shared philosophy. So simple, it’s just four words!
Fun:
We believe that everything we do should be fun, because life is too short to not enjoy what you do and why you do it. We embody this in our day to day. Meetings are kickstarted by musical chairs. A learning session can only begin once we’ve all gotten up to move. The day doesn’t start until we’ve shared a smile. Fun isn’t just a word; It’s a state of being. It’s a declaration.
Learning:
It might seem silly to value learning as an organisation in the education field, but to us the value of learning runs deep. We don’t see value in someone who thinks they have nothing left to learn, because life is a learning journey. You don’t need to have all the answers, you just have to be willing to be on the powerful journey. Our team is made up of lifelong learners, who started right at the start and who are still progressing and growing.
Growth:
To value growth, is to plant the seeds that will grow into the mightiest oak tree; Whose shade we shall not ourselves enjoy.
It is not just our own growth that we value, but the growth of others. We value the idea that if we put in the time, energy, and resources to grow our future generation, then we all get to see the results of their amazing achievements. This is what drives us; to be able to play our part in the improved outcomes of so many.
Integrity:
Integrity for us is to leave the sector in a better position than when we found it. We don’t want to just be a part of the education sector. We want to be leaders within it and strive to lift the quality, not just within our own organisation but across the entirety of the sector. We also hold ourselves to a high level of integrity. We want to be open and transparent, and to do the right things for the right reasons. We live by the values of “Living above the line.” We have this as the core of everything we do.
Our CEO, Christopher Bradshaw, has a strong background in early childhood here in Victoria. Graduating with a Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, he spent over a decade as an educator and Kindergarten teacher before moving to a coaching role working with educators across Melbourne. He then completed a Master’s Degree in Education, specialising in Leadership and Management, and more recently a Post Graduate degree in eLearning and online learning design.
What we can provide:
We have already begun working with approved providers who operate locally in the southeast of Melbourne and would like to grow our network of early childhood professionals. We’re an Early Childhood One-Stop Training Provider.
Making Education can deliver:
Qualifications:
Being a nationally accredited training provider, we deliver both the:
CHC30121 – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
CHC50121 – Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Accredited Training:
We deliver Early Childhood Refresher Trainings Online, In the Classroom, or even at your own service (7 Days a week). This allows for refresher training to be conducted during staff meetings, if need be, for added convenience. We deliver:
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
HLTFSE001 – Follow basic food safety practices
HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety
Professional Development (Online and Face to Face Options):
Our ever growing suite of online modules for early childhood educators and leaders:
ME_001 Safe Sleep Training for educators & teachers
ME_002 Active Supervision eLearning Training Course
ME_003 Child Protection Refresher Course
ME_004 Challenging Behaviours 101: Daily Strategies for a calmer classroom
We also run lower cost face to face presentations and after hours staff meeting nights on a range of areas.

Customised Learning
Being learning designers, we can put specialised training programs together to meet your contextual needs. Some previous learning builds we’ve completed to date:
Inspiring Play Spaces – Face to Face (On-site)
The Leadership Program – Face to Face (Classroom)
Policies & Procedures – A customised Online refresher program built for a client on their own service policies and procedures.
Parents and Families First Aid – A condensed non-accredited first aid course for new families and community members.
Children’s Learning Programs:
Our Child Empowerment Program has been designed to teach children all about body safety and autonomy, and has been used by several services as a flexible funding item on their school readiness funding (SRF).
Coaching:
Whether through Victorian SRF or directly between service and Making Education. Coaching is conducted by Myself, with my specialties being Kindergarten Teaching Practices & Program Design, Respectful Interactions, Challenging behaviours and leadership
