What childcare training courses do you offer?
We offer nationally accredited training courses for all the areas educators and teachers require to enter the early childhood sector as well as to maintain their role. This is because in most cases, refresher training is required in certain units.
We’re currently providing this training for the following:
- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- HLTFSE001 – Follow basic food safety practices
- HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety
How do I enrol in a childcare training course?
Enrolling is simple and can be completed entirely online. Just navigate your way to the ‘enrol now’ button and follow the prompts to fill in the required information. All information gathered for enrolment is on behalf of the national VET regulator and is covered under our data privacy policy.
A USI will also be required to issue a certificate; however, Making Education can help you if you either don’t have a USI, or cannot locate it.
Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in your childcare training courses?
There are no prerequisites for enrolling into one of our accredited training courses.
However, each individual course may contain their own unique entry requirements, which will be made available to you under the ‘entry requirements’ section of each course page. Some common entry requirements may require potential learners to have stable access to the internet and a device to be able to access learning materials. Refer to each course page for further information.
What career opportunities are available after completing a childcare training course?
Completion of one of our childcare training courses will assist you to maintain your employment in the early childhood sector. This is because Both HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Known as CPR) and HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting are a regulatory (Known as First Aid) must be refreshed on an ongoing basis. CPR training is required every year, whilst First Aid training is required every three years.
Both Food Safety and Workplace health and safety are also growing areas of focus within the childcare and early learning sector, with completion of these units keeping your knowledge of these crucial areas up to date to ensure best practice is occurring. This could assist career pathways into management or the designated workplace health and safety officer.
