Course Overview

The Annual Coaching Partnership is a flexible, service-wide mentoring model designed to build lasting professional capacity across your entire team. Over 12 months, your service is supported by an experienced early childhood coach who works alongside educators, leaders and management to strengthen practice, build confidence, and support continuous improvement.

This offering is fully customised to suit your service's goals, structure and budget. Together, we co-design how support is delivered – whether that’s in-session coaching, team planning time, professional conversations, or reflective practice built into staff meetings. You’ll also have access to ad-hoc phone and email support throughout the year, ensuring guidance is available when you need it most.

Ideal for services preparing for Assessment and Rating, undergoing change, or seeking to embed a culture of continuous learning, this long-term partnership provides the consistency and depth needed to create meaningful impact.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We work with you to create a flexible, responsive coaching model that supports real impact and lasting professional growth.

The Annual Coaching Partnership is a 12-month, flexible support model for early childhood education services. It includes tailored mentoring, coaching sessions, and ad-hoc support designed to meet your service’s needs across the year. This offering is ideal for services looking to build team capacity, improve practice and engage in sustained professional learning.

While one-on-one mentoring focuses on supporting an individual educator or leader, the Annual Coaching Partnership supports your whole service. It’s designed to engage your full team in ongoing coaching and mentoring, delivered flexibly across the year. This may include a combination of in-session support, planning time, team meetings, and leadership guidance.

While eligibility depends on your local funding guidelines, this type of service-wide professional support may align with SRF priorities, particularly in areas like professional development, family engagement, and inclusion. We’re happy to help you determine eligibility and support you in completing your funding submission.

We’ll co-design a schedule that works best for your team and budget. Common session types include:

  • Coaching during sessions with children

  • Mentoring during team planning time

  • Staff meeting facilitation or input

  • Reflective practice discussions

  • Targeted leadership support

  • Assistance with QIP or Assessment & Rating preparation

All delivery is flexible and adapted to your context.

The number of sessions is based on your budget and service goals. We’ll work with you to determine the most effective use of your available hours. Some services choose monthly sessions, while others may group them around key events such as assessment periods, planning cycles or team development days.

We offer both onsite and remote coaching options, depending on your location and preferences. Many services choose a blended approach, combining in-person mentoring with video calls, phone support and email communication to maximise flexibility and impact.

You’ll have access to ad-hoc support via phone and email throughout the year. This allows leaders and educators to reach out with questions, reflections, or urgent challenges as they arise — without waiting for the next scheduled session.

Absolutely. This long-term model is especially beneficial for services preparing for Assessment and Rating. It provides consistent, guided support to help your team understand the National Quality Standard (NQS), strengthen your Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and build confidence in demonstrating practice.

Yes. We work with stand-alone services, small teams, and larger providers with multiple locations. Each coaching partnership is tailored to the structure and needs of the service or organisation. If you’re part of a multi-site provider, we can also explore group arrangements or centralised leadership coaching.

Yes. We build in flexibility so your coaching plan can evolve alongside your service’s priorities. For example, if a new goal emerges mid-year, or your team structure changes, we can adjust the focus and format of future sessions accordingly.
